How about walking to explore Eau Claire?

If you're looking for different places in Eau Claire to have fun and play sports, but you don't have a car or you don't want to take the bus, we'll show  you three places that you're gonna love and are easy to go to.


First place: Environmental Adventure Center (EAC)


This place is for people who want adventure and like to practice extreme sports. At the EAC you can find Outdoor Trips, rent equipment (like bikes, canoes,  kayaks, etc), golf, sell tubes and Ropes Course!

The Environmental Adventure Center regular schedule is:
Monday: 9am - 5pm.
Tuesday and Thursday: Noon-5pm
Friday: 9am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-2pm
                                                     Sunday: Noon-4pm

 Second place: McPhee Center

McPhee Center is a place for people who are looking for recreation and want to get healthy. At this center you'll be able to practice a lot of activities. Below you'll find the main sports you can play there.
  • Gymnastics: If you want to play gymnastics there is a gymnastics gym at the McPhee Center.
  • Swimming and Diving: For women or men that really like to swim, there is a huge pool to practice this kind of activity.
  • Volleyball: If you are looking for a volleyball game or you want to enjoy this sport you`re in the right place. McPhee Center has a big gymnasium.

Third Place: Bollinger Fields


The Bollinger Fields is a huge place that belongs to UWEC, which includes three soccer fields, four softball fields and a rugby field. It’s near the campus, about 20 minutes of walking from Chancellor’s Hall. This is a great place to hang out with friends, participate in the events that occur here, or take the family for a tour and teach baseball to your children.
