On Sunday,
6th of July, we went to a 3 miles bicycle excursion on Eau-Claire.
Our group was formed by Barbara, Diego, Pamela, Gustavo and Hassan. It was a rainy
day, so we were all afraid to get some hurt or a cold. But for our happiness,
before we start doing it the rain had gone and we could enjoy the whole
excursion without problems.
First of all, we went to the EAC to take a bike,
A helmet and tested it. Some pictures were taken on this place like this one
below.
After
this, we crossed the whole Putnam Park State Natural Area. Along the way there
were a lot of mud, because of the rain before, and we all got our clothes
dirty. The landscape on this place is very beautiful, With an amazing nature,
fauna and flora. An interesting thing that happened through this way was that
we’ve seen a deer running on the road and Hassan scared it.
When
we arrived on a small neighborhood after the Putnam Park the Christine’s bicycle
tire blew out. Then we had to do the whole route by ourselves. As if not enough,
it started to rain again. At the beginning we all felt a little bit worried
about do it alone and about the rain. But we continued our track to the Carson
Park. Over this way, we pass by several houses, and finally arrived on Carson
Park.
Thereafter,
we started to feel kind of lost to find the Lumberjack and his blue ox. So we
asked for a citizen a little information about its location, and we finally got
there.
Then, we continued the path to the river. It took a lot of time to get there, but it
was offset with the whole landscape. Also, we took a lot of funny pictures when
we got there.
At the
end, we went back to the university to drop the bikes at EAC and we finished
the whole biking excursion.
